Family-friendly and eco-sustainable farm
The hotel and chalets belonging to the “Taser Alm” family farmstead above Scena/Schenna near Merano/Meran is the first South Tyrolean establishment to be awarded the European Eco-label.
The European Eco-label is the top EU sustainability award introduced to identify products and services which are kinder to the environment. The criteria evaluated include energy, water and refuse-saving measures.
Sustainability is taken very seriously on the "Taser Familienalm" given that:
- all rooms are heated with wood chips and solar energy
- approx. 36 % of the electricity used is produced by the establishment's own photovoltaic solar power plant
- the water used comes from the farm's own spring
Die "Taser Familienalm" is situated in a picturesque location and is dedicated to the needs of families. Amenities and attractions include a large playground, a wigwam village, a high ropes park, farm and domestic animals. The surrounding woods provide children with plenty of creative activities to engage in.
